Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park is home to Tanzania’s major elephant population, who are drawn to the park’s seasonal waters of the Tarangire River from which the park gets its iconic name.

Covering the park’s 2850 sq km, Tarangire’s great stands of remarkable baobabs should be enough motive to pay a visit. There is the richness of sun-blistered termite banks, as well as immense swamps and vast grassy savannah plains.
Sixth largest National Park
Tarangire National Park is placed in the northern tourism zone and is the Sixth largest National Park in Tanzania. It is placed in the Manyara Region in the northern part of Tanzania.
The park’s well-famed name came from the Tarangire River that cut across the park. Tarangire River is the core source of fresh water for several wild animals in the Tarangire Ecosystem, especially during the dry season.
Wildebeest migration
The Tarangire wildlife Ecosystem is well-defined by the distance Wildebeest migration. In the dry season, thousands of wild animals including wildebeest and zebras come together in Tarangire National Park from the wet-season dispersion and calving areas.
It’s a park where you will observe elephants mark the plains like cattle, Lion roars, and Zebra barks fill the night with an amazing African Safari experience.
Tarangire River
Splitting the park into two sides is the Tarangire River, its remarkable meandering course and steep riverbanks providing a dry-season pull for so many stirring wildlife encounters.
During the rainy season, seasonal visitors spread over a 12,500 sq miles range until they finish the green plains of the park and also park rivers call again.
